*New Blinkie* When the Night Comes by @diamondheart78

Hiya! It’s me! I’m alive! 😀

If you follow me on twitter you must know I had a pretty serious case of Dengue fever. We are having a bit of an epidemic down here and although I was spared for most of it I caught it near the end. Luckily, winter is coming so all those darn mosquitoes will die soon enough. *cue to evil laugh*

Anyhow, I’m here to share my latest creation: a blinkie for Diamondheart78‘s “When the Night Comes.”

Summary: Nightmares from a tragedy long ago plague Bella when the night comes. When a mysterious guest checks into her B&B nestled along Orcas Island’s coast, can she face her past to move forward? Canon pairings. AH. Rate M for lemons later.
Romance/Hurt/Comfort E/B

This story was really exciting for me to read because I can tell already it’s not all what it seems. It’s classified as Romance/Hurt/Comfort but I can assure you that there’s lots of mystery surrounding Bella’s life. I love a good mystery so I was thrilled when Diamondheart78 asked me to make her this blinkie.

From the Prologue we can sense that there’s a dark cloud hovering over Bella. A dark cloud that obscures her nights and haunts her dreams:

Fear. Shock. Desperation.

Utter confusion.

Pain.

Can’t Breathe.

It’s all repeated in a vicious cycle in Bella’s mind night after night. Dreams that would terrorize and cripple. The darkness counterbalanced with muddy hues; blues, grays, and greens. The familiar screams of the people she loved, the horrendous soundtrack to her nightmares. She knew very well where these nightmares originated from, but they were spotty, mere impressions in thick brushstrokes of darkness and mass hysteria.

Jikes, poor girl! 😦

As usual Bella’s life is shaken to its foundation when a certain godlike creature enters her life:

When she caught sight of who was in front of her, she nearly froze.

Standing in front of her desk was what had to be the most beautiful example of the male species…ever.

Bella fumbled to regain her equilibrium by leaning towards the front desk. He hadn’t noticed her arrival, since he was fumbling through his bag. His present posture didn’t allow her a good enough look at him. He wore a blue baseball cap that covered up many of the details of his face and hair. As he rifled through his bag and retrieved a stack of papers, she noticed his strong hands and long, elegant fingers. She could also tell he was tall, with a lean frame and broad chest; she could make out the lines of his strong jaw covered in light stubble. He was dressed in a heavy wool blue plaid peacoat; summer evenings on the islands could still be a bit chilly.

See that Vanity Fair picture of Rob I used in the blinkie? That’s exactly the Edward Bella meets for the first time. It’s just not fair to parade such beauty in front of you and expect you to act coherent. Not fair at all.

So, if you are looking for something different. A story in which not everything is revealed to you right away, but slowly as the story progresses, When the Night Comes is the story for you. Don’t forget to leave Diamondheart78 some review ♥ while you are at it.

  1. This is great stuff, mon Ange. I thought you were too poorly to make blinkies though – no pushing it, you need your rest!

I really liked the text on the end caption. Very pretty.

    xx

    • Yes, I’m doing poorly… but if I take naps and breaks between stuff I can manage 🙂

Thank you bb… lol I struggled with the text in this one… I have too many fonts to choose from and it takes me forever to do so 😀

*smooch* you’re always so kind to me
